I have always loved Pontiacs, but somehow I ended up keeping a '62 Imperial for 21 yrs. Thats long gone now to Germany. I have a favorite Pontiac now, a '64 Tempest Safari 326 in Fawn Gold. It seems all original, and was very dirty. I have not started any restoration on it yet though. I need to get the timing chain cover/chain back on it first, the newly cleaned out gas tank back on it, the newly rotted out radiator back in it, and wa la, its gonna be my fine survivor for awhile. I'm looking forward to reading stories about all of your wagons on here. Maybe at one point we'll connect for common interests of wagons Gary Chamberlain
Welcome Gary. Sounds like you have a plan. Wander thru the pages of this forum and enjoy what other wagon lovers are up to.We always welcome pictures.
Hi Gary to SWF. You might do better listing the parts your looking for in the Parts Needed Section, not everyone reads the Welcome Wagon. Good luck with your search. I'm going to check out your pics now.
Gary! Those Tempests are cool little wagons. Post some pics of it when you can It would look good with a few GTO updates.
Welcome to the nuthouse we call Home. Great choice of wagon. Glad to see it is a Tempest. It would be a rare sight indeed to see it stay a pure Tempest. It seems like everyone and their uncle with a Tempest 'upgrades' to GTO appearance items, forgetting that all the mechanical upgrades were available in the sleeper livery of the Tempest. Have fun around here, and lets see lots of pictures of that great car.
Love the 1964 Pontiac Tempest. I took my road test on a 1964 4 door sedan, 3 on the tree, 215 6 cylinder. Great car-would love to find one.
