Woodgrain does not appear to match

Look closely at the bottom edge of the door. It has rust starting to come through from the back side. I would go $2,500 on it, but his price says FIRM. So I didn't even make him an offer

This is NOT the kind of seller you should buy your wagon from. In general, they can be trusted only to lie to you and cover up as much bad stuff as possible.

This guy sounds very similar to the guy I had to deal with in Michigan.

    This is my car.

Anybody who has ever called has been told the same thing:

Since the car is stored one hour and 45 minutes from me, I can either meet you there or, if I'm unable to, the gentleman from whom I rent would be glad to meet you.

To date, exactly ONE person has looked at the car.

Not sure where anybody sees rust on the bottom of the door, as the only thing pictured is the lower pinchmold on the body.

That said, if somebody were truly interested, he would either make the effort to look at the car or he would have somebody look at it for him.

To the gentleman who's son is in DC:

I've not heard from either you OR your son.

If you're in disagreement with the price, Swanny, that's fine. Feel free to piss pick the car to death if you'd like. But, please don't label me as being difficult to deal with.

Additionally, this car is titled in my name and is also currently insured with JC Taylor.

There is no inspection sticker in the window because the car came from Wisconsin, where there are no state inspections. None are required in Pennsylvania, either, when the car is registered as an antique.

As far as the woodgrain not matching, I would suspect that the reason for that is because of the lack of quality indoor lighting at the time the picture was taken.

So, anyway, that's the story. If anybody is seriously interested, as opposed to just lamenting about it here, feel free to look at the car in person.

    Thanks, everybody.

Not really; I would just appreciate the opportunity to see the record straight, that's all.

    Thanks.

Well I tried to buy this last year, my nephew was stationed in DC in the Air Force. I was going to have him pick it up on his way home. Needless to say the deal did not work out. Enough said about that. Good Luck on the sale, I would still be a buyer, Just at $2,000, and take the chance it will run, after rebuilding the cab and cleaning the fuel system

    See that?

It's a darned good thing you're just a tire-kicker and not an actual buyer, or you'd be pretty disappointed that you didn't buy the car several months ago.

the car looks priced rite to me!

lots of tire kickers looking to tell you what your car is worth, :naughty: you just need the right person to see it, you will get that for it!

haha $2000. I bet you would buy it for that! you cannot buy a nice classic for $2000! :disagree:

Always looked like a nice Pontiac Safari clam wagon (great colors too) - seller/owner just seemed less than motivated. Congrats to the new owner. :)
