My car is going to be in Dazed and Confused 2 movie! Hahaha!

Want to laugh?? My stupid 1981 Chevy Citation was just picked to be in the Dazed and Confused sequel, “That’s What I’m Talking About”, which is filming on the Texas State campus in San Marcos starting next Saturday the 18th. Hahaha! It’s supposed to take place in September of 1980….so my car is supposed to be the brand new car of a college freshman!

It will first be shot in the parking lot with about 40 other 1981 and older cars, and then will be used in some driving scenes and stills…and they want the owners to drive them…so watch for me in the movie background shots
The story is supposed to be a continuation of Dazed, and Mitch, the baseball kid that was graduating from Junior High in the first movie in 1976, is now going into college on a baseball scholarship, and the movie takes place the first weekend of arriving at college. Should be fun!

My little car will finally get some respect!! Pics to follow of course!!

That will be cool! I've never seen the first movie, so I'm not up on the plot specifics.

It's good that you'll be around the car during filming, to keep an eye on it.

Have to be in San Marcos at 8am next Saturday for a 6-hour shoot at Texas State University. Fun Stuff!

I have 62 Studebaker Lark in last 10ish minutes of "Waiting for the light" movie. Got to see how filming is done.

 

That's pretty cool.

I just manage to grumble and complain when the film crews move into Bastrop. I have never thought of taking part.

 

Will update next weekend. I took the car to my friend's shop Friday to do a little tinkering. Want it to look and run as well as it can next weekend.
