Went to Maine for summer vacation and of course hit a couple of local car shows. Only one show had any wagons and it was the best. It was held at Boothbay Railway Village which is worth visiting even without the car show. The main attraction is a restored narrow gauge train that they run around the perimeter. This was their 50th anniversary car show, a two day event. I was there on Sunday so I probably missed some but still a good turnout. 1976 AMC Hornet 1968 VW 1973 Torino (that's the train running in the back) The Suburban had an interesting story. The guy who owned it had passed away so his parents continue to take it to car shows as a tribute.
Much as I like the Torino wagon and the Burb, I'm more interested in the train. I'm always more interested in the train (a string of 'wagons' is how railroading started).
It is a great little set-up, the track runs about a mile or so. They also have a building dedicated to an extensive HO model railroad. The layout isn't complete yet but it is quite nice.
It's definitely worth it. They also have a 50 or 60 car collection of their own on permanent display.
