Hey folks, first time posting here, just wanted to say hello and show off my Ford wagon. I've owned this car since 2002, after having casually searched for one like it for 8 years. It was a northern Minnesota car, so it has some light rust, but I doubt it saw much winter use- mileage is still super low at 65,000 total. It's a 352FE car with relatively few options, but I have a 390 to perk it up a bit, plus I've added front disc brakes, big sway bars, drop spindles and I have a Unisteer rack and pinion to install when I get around to it. I've had 17" American Racing Salt Flat Specials on it since they came out not long after I got the car.

My boys and wife ( surprise! ) love the car and cruising SoCal in it.

Good looking wagon. Hope you don't mind some questions.
What sort of suspension setup do you have, the car looks like it is sitting lower, I like it.
What'd you do for the front disc conversion, donor parts or a kit?

Welcome aboard! You've got a real nice '64 there. I think your wait was worth it.

    Thanks guys.

The front suspension is stock-based ( no one I know of builds anything very serious for it that I know of ) with renewed rubber control arm bushings. The spindles are modified Granada pieces that came in a kit with rotors and calipers ( Malibu, I think? ) plus I had to experiment with a couple different coil springs to get the nose down more ( I REALLY hate installing the captured coils in these things-scary! ) There is quite a bit of bump steer, but the rack & pinion is supposed to remedy that, fingers crossed. I don't remember where I bought the sway bars, but the front one is 7/8" if I remember correctly and the rear is like 3/4" with gas shocks all around.
I really want to jettison the rear leaf springs in favor of some coil-overs and a four-link.

mmmm.... yummy. Is that lovely type 2 yours also? Even if I wanted to lower my ride I couldn't do it. I have enough trouble getting my lard bucket out at factory ride height. :D Maybe I need hydraulics that I can pump up 6" or so for egress and ingress. Wonder how the old 70s style butt high nose dragger attitude would look on my Colony Park. ;)

Nice looking '64. Makes me wish I kept the 64 Country Sedan I had back in the 1980's.
