I've seen this car posted before but being from Craigslist, not of this particular ad. The car has rust on it:
The fuselage styling of these cars makes them look longer than they really are. My '76 Colony Park is actually longer than my '72 T&C, although that's mostly because of the 5-mph bumpers, but the T&C looks bigger. Nothing tops the clamshells for size, though. And, yes, my T&C is the same shade of green.
'75 Chrysler Town & Country: Length - 227.2" '75 Buick Estate Wagon: Length - 231.8" Yeah, the Chrysler looks longer to me, too.....
This one has been posted before and for sale for some time now..... not the best looking example IMO considering the asking price, I'd personally pass....pass by while driving and not get out to look that is for $2200
Interesting.. Shows cruise control iin motor compartment yet has a non-tilt column and there is no cruise on turn signal lever...
I agree, the length of that hearse like rear quarter glass looks incredibly long, and after that finally ends there is still a sizable rear pillar to add to the illusion as well! And when you think about it the fact that the clam's rear quarter has wrap around glass with no rear pillar and the fact that it is longer anyway, the Chrysler still seems to look longer for some reason.
Yeah, these cars seemed to have more of the passenger compartment "pushed forward"... it looks to me like the front doors are much shorter than they are on a GM clamshell wagon.
