Hi Ted! Brad Conley here. You need to show the folks your newest wagon and some of those WOT 'cat's! Talk about a nice collection....
A few weeks ago a 64 LeSabre Wagon found me. The engine is stuck and I'm hoping to unstick and rebuild. LeSabre Wagons in 64 were built on a Wildcat frame-nailhead power-and available with the same engine selection as the Wildcat. This one has a Super Wildcat 425 CID 2x4 carb engine, automatic, cruise, 4 note horns, air, power windows, power seat, power antenna, am/fm, rear speaker, tailgate window wiper, power tailgate window, and roof rack. The interior is really well preserved, everything is working but the engine and power brakes.
That 64 LeSabre Wagon will make a great cruiser. Wish it followed me home. But I don't have that big garage to park it in.
last Sunday I had to sweat a little and get a motor back in the LeSabre: The original engine had #1 piston disintegrate and put a hole in the cyl.wall. So this 425 has been dyno'd and "slated" for another project which is on hold. Perfect! all I need is time on brakes and a few parts delivered (exhaust+ rebuilt 2 x4's) and LeSabre will be ready to roll... ...to a body man that can pull the dent out of the rear tail light.
Great looking 65 you have. I always liked the style of the 60's GM midsize Wagons. Someone beat me to a Buick Sport Wagon with the Vista roof a few years ago but then I found a 66 Malibu Wagon in Detroit. It has become another of my "one of a kind" creations and is being transformed into a 2dr Nomad style cruiser. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29015&highlight=rmay
