I would think that eventually the hit and run car would show up someplace. However being at a hotel he also may be out of town and back home.
Sure would have ruined my Power Tour.
I always try to park at an end row or by one of those raised curb areas.
By pulling the quarter panel out is the wagon driveable? Might have to use a bungy cord to hold the driver door shut.:banghead3:

Should get a "bad luck" award or something.

I remember seeing the your Challenger on Sunday morning before the Driver's meeting, with "plan B" written on the side window and "plan A" with a picture of your smashed wagon on it. So sorry all this happened!

I'm always a little worried parking my car in a hotel parking lot, specially if it's not all car people.........too many car thefts and accidents (but yours is the worst I've seen). Even with hotel security, there can still be trouble. I always try to park where I can see my car from my room, and look out at night to see it still there.......

Most times when we drove our old cars or the 55 Chevy wagon to motels it was for a car show. There were usually a lot of other show cars there too. I always worried. Even on vacations when our old car was the only strange vehicle around.
But now that I think about it, it was those car events with other old cars where the odds of one being stolen is probably worse. After all, the thieves know we are there. At regular vacations I'd park in the back or where the car was not real visible from the road. I almost always carried one of those cheap car covers to put on which helps keep others from looking.
But as 59wagon proves, where you park does not matter to Mr Murphy and his laws. The wagon was not on an end row and was not alone. I wonder if anyone considered the double damage had there been another car on the right side of his wagon?
When the time is right you can be in your own drive way or garage with the door closed. Murphy can always find it. We can't worry all the time.

    I just saw this thread.

Sorry to see what happened to the wagon, but I'm glad no one was hurt and Plan "B" worked out.

I hope that someone turns in the rotten scumbag!
