This wagon is up over 5K already and it has 9 days to go! With no reserve the guy either knows what he has or he has a lot of friends bidding it up. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NO-RESERVE-68-Colony-Park-Woody-31k-Miles-390-V8-Rare_W0QQitemZ300304998277QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item300304998277&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A317%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1308
Maybe there is something wrong with me. But I dont find that car attractive at all. Maybe its the color mixed with that wood design. It just does nothing for me.
Hey Blackie....I don't see you on here...you hidin' out? Hey...did you see my post below entitled "Oh, Oh...." ?
I somehow checked the invisible option in my profile, no idea how or when, coz I dont remember doin it  I just posted a comment there.
I am a GM guy through and through, but FoMoCo had it right with their wagons in this era. GM didn't offer woodies though, and I'm addicted to DiNoc!
A 41 year old car with 31,000 miles - that's an average of about 750 miles per year. ( Didn't the ad says the car's been in storage for a long time? ) Frankly, this one looks like a gem. No reserve, too. Somebody's gonna get a nice museum piece. I'd love it myself, except for one thing - the lack of power options. No P/W and P/L is a deal breaker for me.
I beg to differ about GM offering woodies in the 60's. Here are a couple of Chevrolet wagons sporting wood, 1966 Caprice wagon 1967 Caprice Wagon 1968 Caprice wagon of all three I want a 68 Caprice wagon.
I should have specified that I was talking more of the era of 1955 to 65 than the later sixties. Honestly, I overgeneralized in my head and that was my fault. My dad had that 66 just like that same color with the woodie and it had a 396 with a TH400. My grandparents bought it in 67.
Yeah the fin era was not big on the imitation wood, which kind of makes sense to me. The kids who grew up around the wood cars when they were new would be old enough to be designing cars in the early 60's, as would be the target audience. Either way it goes I love em all, wood or not.
oh-me-oh-my-oh! My 68 Colony Park was blue, inside and out...And it did look better in that color. And I thought my 86 had a multi-color interiour!..Black and white and various shades of grey.Just like life,I suppose...Power everything was standard,as I'd understood it.So,somebody asked special,to have regular windows and locks. That's Commuter level trim.(In my life,I've seen three 68 Commuters, two with 289's one with a Mileage Maker 6)Someone on CarDomain has a 68 Colony Park, without A/C and the roof rack, another custom order...I don't think that's the original color. They had white back then, jusy not SO white...All that said,if I'd allready won the Lottery,I'd probably be off to get this one..Name it White Thunder, get really loud exhaust
