I like the size/dimensions specification: "HUGE".

Somebody tell this guy that this was the mid-size Ford wagon that year.

Also, $8K is out of line with the cheap universal woodgrain and the painted-over surround rails.

Maybe not an $8K car due to the restoration errors mentioned but still a beautiful automobile that I would be proud to own. If I had the $$$ I might even be tempted to pay the $8K as it would be very difficult to put together one as nice for less.

Now if it were a 72 with a big FE in it... well temptation would be immense but I understand that one can build a really nice power plant from that 460 also. :)

Actually the mid 70's Torinos had quite a bit of room underneath. The 460 is the same size externally as the prior 429.....

And the 460 was a factory option, I can't confirm but believe 74 was the last year in Fords (large) mid size line up. But the 460 carried on a few more years in the really big full size models.

The 460 V8 remained as an option for both the Torino and Montego through 1976. SWF member n2Fordmuscle, in Georgia, has a great looking 1976 Mercury Montego MX Villager wagon loaded up including the 460 V8 as a great example. :yup: :bouncy:

I've got a 460 in my Torino. It's a real fun car to drive but I don't think its the original engine
