Very nice....... This brings up a new thread idea: We each post up say 3-5 wagons from the forum that we like. then we'll comment....... Probably be easier if everybody makes their own thread. Whatdayathink?
What a simply PERFECT wagon. Love that colour, especially with the wood grain. The only thing I would do differently is to install front disc brakes. I've lived with 4 wheel drum, and never again!
Steve did really really good love the colour and stance but could go a little lower for my liking an inch and a half and it would be perfect :2_thumbs_up_-_anima from Downunder
stance is perfect. properly maintained 4 wheel drums on my cars have always had that "put you thru the windshield" performance. Altho they were always POWER brakes, and I would not want to live in a very hilly area as long hill decents DO affect them.
Wagonkiller, I know drums work well most of the time. The big exceptions are when you are in stop and go traffic and they over heat or when there is a lot of standing water on the road and they get wet. Having had to drive with my foot on the brake to dry them out one too many times, I will go for front discs always.
Driving our 62 Dodge Custom 880 2 door hardtop (C Body), on a rod run thru the mountains outside Kingman AZ on the way to a ghost town convinced me the drum brakes were being replaced as soon as I got home. Brake fade got soo bad I pulled over and let them cool down a bit. Switched to discs, did the same run the next year and it was a pleasure to drive. I don't have anything with front drums any more.
