This one's been around for years.....

Seems the owner changed the wheels this time.

In actuality, the wagon had nothing to do with the Indy 500. An owner merely applied some decals he had made up......

Wasn't the original "theme maker" a member years ago and sold it?

No pic of it in the gallery and I can't remember the screen name but the pic with the other wheels turns up now and then on the home page.

I think you're right, Tedy. I forgot about that. I think this wagon's gone through more owners than Planters got nuts.

I have the other Buick wagon Pace car. These are wonderful wagons and get more looks than any other wagon at any show. Some of you are harsh with your comments.

Firestone has always been the tire of Indy, no??? The Good Year decals struck me as odd, too. I like the car; it's the first time I've seen this puppy.

Well, that explains some things that I didn't think needed explaining.....

Sorry Noulee! I was totally unaware that there was more than one of these Pace Car Estate Wagons around......

You are right - I'm sure that your wagon would get some attention. But am I correct in stating that these wagons were never actually used in connection with a sanctioned race?

BTW, here's a pic of Noulee's wagon from the gallery...
    Nice looking wagon!

The last Buick used as an Indy 500 Pace Car was the 1983 Riviera. But GM had many pace cars on up through 1990 (Cutlass Supreme, Beretta, Corvette, Trans Am, Cutlass Calais, etc) though each of those divisions had their own B-body wagons. These Buick wagons in this thread remind me of the 1975 Buick Century graphics from that year's race.

You are all correct. GM (Buick) did have many pace cars. In 1975, besides the Century, Buick made 40 documented LeSabre convertible Pace cars and only 2 Pace wagons!!! I would love to get my hold of those wagons!! Mine, the 1988 and the other one posted are replica's!!! These are not documented Pace cars. The graphics are based upon the 1976 Century Pace car. Even thou they aren't real, they look cool!!!
    Thanks all!
