This is a good one to demonstrate an issue I have with the '66 Fords..
Although I generally like the styling on the big '66 Ford wagons, I absolutely HATE the look of the 'standard' grill, like the one that comes on this Country Sedan. For those unfamiliar with this issue, the big '66 Fords had 2 separate and unique grills. From the base 'Custom/Custom 300' models up through the Galaxie 500 and Country Sedan models, you got the grill pictured on the 'for sale' wagon.

For the LTD, 7 Liter and Country Squire models, you got the nice stylish grill, pictured here:

In my eyes, the 'standard grill is such an eyesore, especially when you can swap in the LTD grill........ Which is exactly what I would do if I had one of these Country Sedans.

Marshall I hope you dint hare me but I'm switching to the simpler grill. I like it way better but maybe it's because my grill was beat to hell.

Personally, I agree with Marshall. The stamped aluminum grill in the lower cars is, in my eyes, a down market piece compared to the die cast, chrome plated grill of the top line cars. One other thing, the die cast grill is EASY to convert to meet the European lighting standards, as it has the two lights per side, so one with a clear bulb for parking lamp, the other with a natural amber bulb for the turn signal.

Any one have the mounting brackets from the "cheaper" grill?

The brackets for the grill with two lights will not match up to it.

    I need a set!!!
