That's sad. Looks like it's been sitting with the top down since 1985. Also looks like someone bought a rebuilt automatic transmission for something.
Spray Nine My interior is vinyl so it was easy to clean. I made sure to to rinse and follow with a protectant. I'm sure if you Google upholstery cleaning products you might have some luck.
I would use the vacuum cleaner on all the surfaces inside, for the loose soil, so you won't get bogged down trying to get it all with water and cleaner. Even all the moldy and green parts, use the dust brush, and don't bear down on the vinyl and plastic areas. I'd almost think the seat fabric would respond to a good vacuuming, possibly instead of a shampooing. Then of course, use some kind of good upholstery cleaner or a gentle dish soap and water solution on all of the hard surfaces, and vinyl trimming.

Hi CustomCruiser 90 > Thank You For Your MSG.*** Great Idea *** TREAT HER * Softly ! someone said to also buy a big bag of charcoal for the grill and split it into 4 piles for the frt and back Floors and His Wife added " Better Yet! Moth Balls in cotton Bags Hanging in there! I Laughed ! BUT! HEY! HI! HO! That * Probably Will Work *** cause the mold smell is so sad . Hey! Port ST Lucie,FL. Never Been There * But! Did You Get Hit BY "CHARLIE "* AN ALSO "IVAN "? SEEMs They*" Came From Your Direction before the Sharp Turn Toward ME?
Hi Marty11, I think Charley and Ivan did very little to us. It was Frances and Jeanne (whichever order) and Wilma that really whacked us. I'm still recovering, mentally. Port St. Lucie, by the way, is a town best avoided. Too many weird zoning tricks and politics. It's strange, I never gave the smell in your car any thought. I guess it would, what with all that mold! A good vacuuming will diminish some of it, and of course the airing out, as well as the charcoal trick, mothballs maybe, as a last resort. I have a leak that pools under the right rear carpet of my Cruiser, and I have a black mold aroma. I don't really think the heater is leaking, and the rest of the carpeting, though stained, never seems to get wet. I see you have an '85 Toronado. I had one for a while, ugly story for another time. Rode and drove beautifully though.
big bag of charcoal for the grill and split it into 4 piles Sounds like a good idea. Then soak well with charcoal lighter and.........
