Nice looking wagon but if it wasn't for the newer cars in the background I would think those pictures were almost as old as the wagon itself.
Just for the record, the 351 Cleveland ceased production after 1974. From the pictures it definitely has a 335 series motor, which means if it is a 351 and it is original, it must be a 351M. I've never heard the FMX transmission referred to as a Borg-Warner. If the engine is a 351M, I would expect the trans to be a C6. I've read that the 351M, 400, 429, and 460 all had the same rear face, and thus will all bolt to the same transmissions. The FMX was used primarily, perhaps exclusively, behind 351Ws and 351Cs. These two engines have the same rear face as each other, but different from the 351M - 460. I'm not sure there was ever an FMX that would mate to a 351M - 460 rear face. Regardless, this looks like it might be a decent car. Unfortunately, there are no pics of the underneath. Also, take claims that you could drive it home with a grain of salt. I had those from the seller of a car I bought and (wisely) had trucked the 2600 miles to my home town. The 5 miles from the truck stop to my house were harrowing as the steering was so loose that you didn't really aim the car so much as point it in the general direction you wanted it to go. I found out later that the transmission was on the verge of giving up the ghost. The moral: Sellers aren't always realistic about the condition of the cars they're selling.
I just watchlisted that and he JUST ended it due to "error in listing". I might be headed to Charlotte to pick up a rollback tow truck this weekend for my bosses. I would TOTALLY load this up and bring it back to Ohio. It's just like my sedan was but more basic, is a wagon, and powder blue instead of white. I can fix the color and start where I left off with the other Torino... But now I have to check back and see if it gets relisted...
Well, here ya go! Good luck! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Torino...=171278402318&pt=US_Cars_Trucks#ht_484wt_1361
