Hi, I'm new to the forum but not new to the hobby. I've been an enthusiast for 40+ years. I have always wanted to restore a classic Ford Country Squire or Country Sedan. My questions concerns the 3rd row seat on the wagons. If not originally equipped with the 3rd row seat can one be added to the Squire or sedan wagon? I've found several I'm interested in but they do not have the 3rd row seat. Looking for a 66-68 Q code, running or not. Prefer something that does not need a lot of body work. Glad to be aboard, I've followed this forum for several months. Great membership, tons of information, looking forward to being a long time member. Tater
Welcome from a fellow Ford nut! It can be done. You'll need to find a donor car with all of the necessary parts, or someone that has the complete setup. Finding the part might be a fairly difficult task.
Q code means it will have a 428. Like this one. Tater, did you see this one? http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30057
1969 Country Squire 3rd Row Seat fitment I'm reading this post from Tator and I've been sort of looking around for a 3rd row seat myself. The question I have, that may help Tator too, is how often were the 3rd row seat set ups changed? In other words are there multiple years that will fit my 1969 Country Squire, or will only a '69 or '70 set up fit a '69? I've seen several pictures of 3rd row seats from several different years, and they look the same, but I've never got my hands on one to see the frames and mechanisms. I thought the 3rd row seats were a standard item back then, however now that I own one it appears most did not have the 3rd seat originally. Thanks in advance for your expertise. Also, how are you guys adding photo's to your profile and/or your posts. I haven't been able to figure that out yet in my short time here as a member. Thanks again.
Me Too!!! I have a '71 Country Squire and have the pit but not the seats. I have not been able to find anything yet. I have looked at some national salvage yard websites and a few classic car parts sites but nothing. If you guys stumble upon a way to secure a set, pass it on please (after you get yours of course).
I have seen this one and I have contacted the seller. My problem is one of logostics, I'm in Michigan and it's in Florida. I've been checking into transporting of non-running vehicles, gets kind of $$$. But that's exactly what I'm looking for. I have a late 66 428 block and crank I could use in assembling a motor for a non-running project. Just wish it was a little closer!!
