One day you and your neighbor are at each others throats, you may not talk for awhile, then something bad happens and all is in the past and we do and have banded together every single time............ Most of our border is still this also....... No fences, no guards......
Fire on board a ship is never good. A couple of sailors were injured during the fire and the tow line broke during the trip back to Hawaii but all is well now.
