Thoughts? I read the 1983 models were the first to have fuel injection, And this does have a towing hitch but I don't know if it has a towing package or if that was added later. No pics of the underbody though. I did think of buying this one, But I don't really need it. http://rochester.craigslist.org/cto/4327522418.html This seat looks like a lollipop.
Something about that interior I just don't like. LOL. Yeah, I do think that '83 was the first year for FI on these.
Am i wrong or is the door jamb a different color than the outside color???? Must be my painters eye.....
Here's another 1983 Country Squire priced at twice the price, but looks to be more than twice the car! http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/cto/4350192405.html
I believe '83 was the first year for EFI, but I would hold out for a '85 or newer model with the port fuel injection. I had a '84 Colony Park with the regular EFI, and I got an electrical short under the hood and the wagon burned up on me. I can't prove t, but I believe it had something to do with the EFI. Personally, I wouldn't buy a '83 or '84......
Yeah, I would much rather have the '83 above. Wow, engine fire! Definitely a sad thing to happen! Yes I have read and heard before that the '83-84 fuel injection systems were troublesome on those cars and heard that the '85+ is the way to go.
These cars saw CFI fuel injection in 1980, on 302 engines. 351W engines had a carb. Ford went SEFI in 1986. However, all Canadian models were carb till late 1985-early 1986.
