Anyone had one (or more!) of their vehicles in a movie, commercial, or TV show?

Cellular One bought my 59 Corvette back in 86 or 87 and equipped it with one of their phone units. That was back in the day of the bag phone and car phones were a permanent installation.

They used it in an advertising campaign culminating in a drawing and some lucky person won the car. Sadly, I never saw any of the commercials.

The car was a 283 punched to 301, factory dual quad setup, close ratio 3 speed, dual point distributor driven factory tach, and a posi rear end. It had fuelly heads, 10-1 pistons, and a GM 375 horse solid lifter camshaft.

I had the car for 15 years and only put about 100 miles on it during that time. The rear frame member was rotted and the springs hung from it. I was always afraid it would give loose and a spring would punch thru the fiberglas. I finally found an NOS one and installed it just before I sold the car. I originally paid $2400 for it and sold it for $16.5k. My only investment was in the driveline. It paid for the first years of college for my 2 sons.

It was at the end, the show in Lake Wobbegon (?). We were in the audience on the left as the camera fanned the crowd, kinda hard to see us, we had to stop the DVD a lot to see us...We were in the Cab Calloway scene and the bit where the audience wasn't into it and we had to do the "I want you, you, you" about a hundred times, then the part where the troopers move in...The best parts were off camera when John would, well, be John. John Landis, the director, had to keep reeling him in. "John. John. JOHN!!!!"...Long day, but it was a good memory...

Nope, just a box lunch and a check that worked out to be about $4.50 an hour...

About twelve years ago or so, I was working at my job in downtown Everett (a record store) and my brother walks in to tell me a film is being shot across the street. He told me the director of photography asked him about what turned out to be my 83 Colony Park, since they had to have permission to allow it to be in a shot. So, I told my brother to tell them they had my permission to allow it in any shot they make. Anyway, the film was called "Evergreen," and if it made the cut, you'll know my wagon by the fact it's a dirty white color with a gold hood/driver's door and a Jeep taillight on the driver's side. If I have pics, they are not digitized.
