This one definitely isn't for everyone but if money was no object, I would have this one! http://memphis.craigslist.org/cto/4317559533.html
Well, that 502 ought to give that CC the proper amount of naughty going from stoplight to stoplight in downtown Memphis. OldsWeightyEight could get it and use it to beat the Baptists to Corky's on Poplar after Sunday services?
I've seen this car a couple times and it is sweet. Black is its original color which is rarer than rare for a '92 OCC.
Much better ad here with high quality photos (taken here in my suburb): http://www.artandspeed.com/details.php?id=51
I'd drive that in a second! Hell, it's a third the price of a full-sized 2014 SUV, a hell of a lot better looking, and you couldn't come close to building it for the money.
This seems like a great deal for someone that has the $$. I'm trying to figure out what's the catch here? These big blocks, do they usually run cool enough in an application like this with limited space for a huge radiator? Would a purchaser be on the hook for any possible unpaid bills to the suppliers, any liens for example? Sorry, can't help but be suspicious, lol. It's a beautifully done car.
Without a doubt if I had the money it would be in my garage. I don't know how limited the space for radiator but after fighting with cooling issues on my dad's 502 Malibu, a little research and a fan moving 3000 cfm of air keeps it cool in the upper 90 degree summers here. That's well over $10,000 in engine not to mention interior work etc.
I saw this particular OCC again this past weekend displayed for sale at the Super Chevy Show. Saturday's asking price somewhere north of $21,000 was knocked down to $18,500 on Sunday. They claim to have over $47,000 in reciepts for this build not including the purchase price of the wagon! (They just dropped $2000 on a fresh 700R4 at the end of March) It's a pretty good deal considering the build quality and unfortunately for them, the sale is hindered by a limited audience. If I had the extra scratch I'd put it in my fleet.
X2 That is a great looking wagon! We know wagons are gaining in popularity here but in general I still mostly get "WHY?" when people find out I am into wagons.
