The interior needs work, but the exterior looks good. Except for the hood. That would have to go. Oh, yeah. It's yellow. Very yellow. But I like it! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Other-...3357f73c6&item=151221400518&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
Wow! I know this was the base wagon, but not even a driver's door arm rest? the 306, I assume, is a punched out 302. It seems like kind of a strange mix of custom/performance and stock original, with a little Pep Boys thrown in for good measure.
I agree, Jim, that hood is not my cup of tea. But a neat wagon, nonetheless. I think those door cards are home-made; looks like they didn't bother with armrests. Quite the potential, '60 was a nice looking year for Ford. Pete
If anyone is interested in the vehicle, I can inspect it for you since it is only an hour from where I live.
:>) If I had the extra cash, I'd buy that for the Wife and have a front plate made that would say "Nana's Banana"!
Bidding is up to $9,100 with three days left to go in the auction. If it sells at this price, and the buyers actually pay up, then I think the seller has done pretty good with this car.
The price seems crazy high for what you get. But.... I like it too. I'd pay maybe 8 grand but no higher. Hood takes some getting used to. Can't tell if they actually cut a hole in the hood, but it could be restored with a little effort.
Sold for $10,100. Seller did pretty well, assuming the eBay buyer actually follows through with the deal.
Back on eBay. Can't depend on those eBay buyers to follow through with the purchase. http://www.ebay.com/itm/151229035203?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Sold again, this time for $8,850. Still pretty good for the seller, if the buyer actually pays. View image in gallery[/center]
Door cards...you watch "Wheeler Dealers", don't you??? LOL! You have to remember that on many cars back then, even armrests were an option! Same thing with passenger-side sunvisors, heaters, etc. You could quite literally "build" your own car with the order blank by checking off whatever options you wanted.
