$2500-5000 because THAT's all your getting a "body" THAT needs a door fixed $$$ new di-noc $$$ chances are that when you remove that your going to have some paint touch up's here and there $$$$ You still don't know about the mileage. THEN you have to find a donor car with a suitable interior $$$$

Here's a fine scenario for you,

Wow just bought the nicest CC wagon on the planet! Pick it up, Bring it home. shoe shine it. and the next weekend take her for a cruise! You pile in the family and your supply's for a weekend trip Including your young children)! SWEET you drive about 250 miles and a few of you are sneezing coughing and gagging and your youngest child's face starts swelling up and you end up at the hospital from mold exposure, your all sick and your youngest is fighting for their life because you didn't know they were allergic to mold you didn't know about!

Get the picture dude? MOLD kills the car man what part of that do YOU NOT UNDERSTAND??????

NO ONE is going to give you 17,000 for a BODY! $2500-5000!

So your comparing a car that sold for $6,500 to one "asking price" of $17,000. Seems logical to me. And I have owned and sold some nice Clams. Documented low mileage cars, not as highly optioned but just as clean. As AK27 as he has my Buick. And he didn't pay half the asking price of this one

More like a third of the price and it looks just as good as this Oldsmobile does. It doesn't have any of the problems this custom cruiser has either.

Very True AK27. Hell, the Caprice Estate is almost as nice and it was not even a 1/4 of the asking price!!!!!

I'm driving one! "dream killer"? the only one I see dreaming is YOU! I had a caddy with THE SAME exact problem. cleaned it up drove it and was constantly sick because of it. Headliner? really man you think that's the only place that mold is? It's in the dash insulation the carpet the seat foam all thru the car NOT just the headliner! JUST LIKE MY CADDY when I stripped it out! If it's up there it's all over and needs gutted. Secondly your not just going to "fix" one door. The di-noc is never going to match nor the paint so your doin the whole shebang!

You go buy this badboy AS IS and drive it for 17,000 and see how "worth it" it was to ya!

And I have news for ya I have friends that get bodies all day long that nice and smash em! for 2500-5000

I agree with what most of you guys are saying, this is not a $17,000 car period. I have been following these things very closely myself for 1 year now and I have not seen a clamshell worth $17,000 come up yet but, I also agree with oldschool as well.

While most agreed that the 73 454 Caprice in Tulsa was too expensive at $6,000 for what it was, some people did see some intrinsic value creating some sort of a case at or around the 6k mark though. So if $5-6,000 is priced fair for that one in Tulsa (hasn't sold yet for all we know), then this is a $10-12,000 car all day every day. However we all know that the mold is still the elephant in the room. I think that the seller got it for the right price last time round.

THANKS YOU!! that's all I'm saying.

yes the olds is not going to sell for 17,000, and it will not sell/take 5,000 ether.

the last pile just added how much would the body work cost just to get it close to the shape of the olds, then the seat's, door panels, dash, everything but the headliner?? lol you would have over $17,000 in it!

I see the olds in the 9000-12,000 range all day long.

....now let the tire kicking continue!!
