    Automatic shift and motorized belts kill it for me. I love these 85.5 to 88 models. I'll hold out for a standard transmission and 85.5 or 86 model with conventional 3-point belts, though. That means carbureted engines and less likelihood of getting goodies like power mirrors, rear defoggers/wipers, or electronic tuned stereos, but hey, I'm OK with that. Can always add those options later.

    I like that one. My 87 Escort was a 2-door. It was a 4-speed with a throttlebody carb but it was a special carb not supposed to be on the car. This was the one I got 50MPG up hill, down hill, city, and mountain driving.
    I'd drive this wagon. (y)
    Towed it many miles behind a motorhome like it wasn't even there.
