Sailors... Land Yachts... get it? Anyway, I'm a 23 y/o guy. It all began back in early 90's when I first saw the movie, National Lampoon Vacation. Ever since I saw that wagon, I wanted it. Later in life, I was able to research it. It's a heavily modified 7th gen Country Squire. I've looked for one of these style wagons for years. I live in NC, and I found one in GA. Picked it up for $2000 with 123,000 miles on it. No rust anywhere! Needs some things... new vinyl wrap, could use valve cover gaskets... But in great shape for being 28 years old. Comes fully loaded with Tripminder and all! Glad to be here.
Ahoy there matey. to our world. Enjoy your wagon and cruising around from sea to shining sea to see what you can see....and up and down the coast.
Welcome. FANTASTIC wagon. I don't know if it was the same there as here, but the value package that included the Trip Minder also included the Insta-Clear windscreen. If so, you have a second switch on the hvac panel for it, as well as the rear defroster. That windshield uses a thin layer of 24 carat gold, and is over $1,000 to replace if you need not. Not many do, so they are becoming rare. That wagon sure does look to be well equipped to say the least, too. The valve cover gaskets are only about $20 the pair, but changing the driver's side one means removing the upper intake, which is a bit of a pain. Good luck with the old girl. Enjoy your wagon.
