Have been bitten by this bug here of late. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/489625790708775146/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/355643701794561656/ How cool are these!? I will never be able to buy one or have the knowhow to build one, but oh how I can dream. Airride, LS motor, 6 speed, 4 bomber seats.....
That wasn't a bug, Sir. It was a tick. That vehicle looks less like a milk truck and more like something the Red Cross would drive around for collecting blood
I prefer them more in original shape. Not a huge fan of them lowered and hot rodded out. I REALLLY miss my old IH Metro.
I am with the Freek, er Eagle. Much prefer original. That metro looks so practical as well as cool. mike
Nice looking truck and the Ford 300 six is a great engine but he does seem to be awfully proud of it at $15k. mike
Divcos didn't change much over the years. Heres a 1985 Divco for sale in North Carolina. http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/4228203073.html Divco Milk Truck - $5000 (Carrboro) 1984 Divco Milk Truck odometer: 90 1984 (yes it has the same body as the 1966-85') DIVCO. Milk Truck. Rated to haul 10,000 pounds. Drives like a tank. We misplaced the key last winter so it has sat and not started for several months. But should run again easily with TLC (and a new key). We were going to use it as a food truck, but have decided not to. 5K and she is your eye turner. Good tires and fresh paint.
I'm seeing some minor changes in the cab and roof area on that '85. I don't think I've ever seen one of these later models. As to that one for sale in NM, it appears to be one of the 'heavy duty' models like my dad drove - dual rear wheels. Starting in the mid 70's my dad's truck was a Ford F550 Chassis-cab. I believe the body was still made by Divco though. Like this one...
