2015 Buick Electra Estate Wagon, the all-wheel drive, plug-in hybrid luxury flagship high-performance electric longroof for 4 well-cosseted passengers. On each front fender there's an access hatch, highlighted with a platinum metallic glaze and the newly restored Tri-Color Buick logo. The driver side panel opens to the plug-in circuitry. The passenger side panel opens to reveal 4 custom carbon-fiber-and-cotton blend-umbrellas. Brushed aluminum and chrome moldings highlight the upper Sweepspear and befitting Buick's flagship, this new Estate Wagon is a "4-Holer." Woodgrain microveneers are available in several finishes. Power center-opening doors and power rear hatch-and-tailgate round out the exterior features.

Drop in a big block V-8 keep the price below $30,000, and I'd buy one.

    Me likee!

Me can't afordee, but BMW and others sell lots of premium fuel guzzling 'SUV' type cars, so I think this could be a winner for the General.
    :1st:

But it HAS to have way way back seats to really be a wagon.
Even though most people use the rear footwell for storage.

    (Good one, 81X11 :D)

Wow! A new car I can actually get excited about! Drop a small diesel electric generator under the hood to use as a range extender (Ala' the Chevy Volt, except with a super efficient diesel instead of a modestly efficient gasser) and it would be a real winner!

Oh, and yes, it MUST have a folding seat in the "way back"!

    I love it....
But is it real or just a concept? I can't believe they would really go with that much "wood" on the side.

Cat, you're gonna be in trouble with that under $30k budget. Even the 'little' Buicks are approaching that price point.......

If this one were ever built with those features, it would be upwards of $55k or so (my guess).

Here's a spyshot of a 2014 Buick Regal Sport Wagon:

I wish Buick would build something like what 81x11 found, but I doubt it....

I don't even think we're getting that Regal Sportwagon. I believe it's planned for Europe as a Vauxhall or Opel.

Nice wagons! I wish the cargo area windows were a little larger on both and not a fan of the suicide doors on the larger wagon. I agree with Krash on the price point... even a small Buick Verano can near $30K well optioned. A loaded Lacrosse can easily pass $40K, so one of these wagons (if were built), would be near $45K IMO.

You know all that woodgrain is a wrap, kinda cheating IMO, but these days I would expect nothing less.

Not only that, it's applied to the rear bumper cover......

I don't think a large expanse of wood grain Di-Noc looks appropriate on any modern wagon. Perhaps as an accent trim, maybe 5" wide or so, designed to go with the body contours.

How long do you suppose that heat wrap would stay on there realistically?

I like the idea, but the Buick shown need longer quarters and a higher rear roofline. To retain all of the sheet metal and styling of the regular sedan when creating a wagon, seldom works well on contemporary sedans. Even if one looks back to a time when sedans were large and had huge trunks, they never used the exact dimensions as the sedan, they always allowed for the increase in the cargo area...the main reason for a wagon at all.

    David :)
