    I haven't and never will buy a vehicle that has had fiberglass modifications.

    I had one of these when nearly new. You could modify it with a Corvette body and I still wouldn't want it!:slap:

    I like the old VWs but this one doesn't seem like a good starting point.

    It isn't that much work to undo those modifications. If the body's as clean as it looks, I'd say it's a fair price. There should still be plenty of Type II's around, as well as the other related vehicles, such as the 411, which could supply a fuel-injected engine
