well, i was watching the news this morning.

they were showing the aftermath of a police chase in butler county.
the bad news is the perp was driving a 1980's pontiac paresienne wagon.
a white non-wood model that, actually looks pretty clean. well the chase ended when he hit a parked car.

the damage looked like it could be a quick fix. just the fiberglass front clip so no sheet metal damage.

but you know as well as i do that car will probably be sold at auction for junk. another one bites the dust!

IT's a crying shame to send these legends to the scrapyard.

well at least he was bright enough to pick a well built car! cmon, how much would it suck if your running from the police, and the motor blows a rod! not to mention a road block isnt going to stop a beast like that.

Being a Parisienne owner myself, I cringe when I hear about another one being wrecked. Why do all the perps drive cars like this, and not those cheesy plastic cars that we have an excess of on the roads? It could probably be had for dirt-cheap and be an easy fix if only the fiberglass clip was destroyed.

I wish I could find the VID of a police chase with a Country Squire but can't find it!

You know, I was driving my wagon to work one day, I worked very early 4am shifts. I was coming through town and had a police car in front of me. I had no front plate on as we don't get them with the temporaries. He pulls off in an alley near the cop shop and comes back out behind me. I figured to check the plate.

I get past the cop shop and another one pulls out behind me, now I was sweating it a little bit.

I drove about another mile or so, when there was one sitting in the parking lot at the pizza parlor just ahead of me. Next thing I know, all three have the cherries and berries going. I'm just about soiling myself at this point.

One of the cops comes up to me and asks if I was driving the car at 9pm in the Wisconsin Dells (nearby town) I kinda chuckled and said I had just gotten up for work about 45 minutes ago. When I asked him why. He told me that a place in the Dells had been robbed and the description of the getaway vehicle was a Brown station wagon with Wood Paneling, likely a Caprice. I couldn't beleive it!

The cops were real cool about it and said I didn't match the description of the perp and just laughed and joked with me about it and let me go on my way to work. They still wave at me when I drive through town!
