Picking up on Krash's game, I'll moderate the next one. Here's this rounds contestants, from the Mecum Monterey 2013 auction, happening this weekend:

    1. 1993 Caprice Custom Wagon - 1993 Chevrolet Caprice station wagon built on 1993 Chevrolet Impala frame
    - Custom built from a Thom Taylor design for Monogram
    - Limited edition built by Majestic Coachwork of Garden Grove, CA
    - Paint by Santini in Cherry Red
    - Original design emulates what a modern version of a 1957 Nomad would look like
    - Unopened car kit included
    - Original window sticker
    - American racing toque thrust D-wheels and BF Goodrich tires
    - Dual sport muffler and rear wheels hydraulic lifts
    - 5.7L engine and automatic transmission

    - Garaged and kept in Scottsdale and a winner of many trophies[IMG]

    2. 1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
The Grand Wagoneer seen here is an impeccably maintained example that was sold new in Colorado and then moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in the early 1990s. It has been garage kept and driven barely 4,000 miles per year, with total original mileage of 116,787. The car rolls on four brand new tires, has just had all four shocks replaced, and presents as totally stock and original with the exception of upgraded Hella driving lamps installed in place of the factory units.
Included with purchase are an owner’s manual, a spotless CarFax report that shows no accident history and gives owner and maintenance records back to 1994, the receipts for the new tires and shocks, and a file of Grand Wagoneer articles and information

    5. 1940 Ford Super Deluxe Woody Wagon
This Ford Super Deluxe SW ‘Woody’ wagon is the recipient of a full show-quality restoration completed in the late 1990s and driven sparingly since. In the restoration, it received all new NOS Ford wood panels and refinished in its correct Folkstone Grey with tan all leather interior.
Under the hood is the factory correct 221ci Flathead V8 engine, which has been rebuilt and features upgraded vintage Fenton headers, backed by a ‘on the tree’ 3-speed manual transmission.
This SW was shown in the 2007 San Juan Islands Concours d’Elegance and has been in the same ownership for the past 15 years. Included with purchase are the original exhaust manifolds and heat shields, a file of Woody information, photos of the car at the Concours, and ownership history.

There were a lot of wagons listed, I picked a sampling. Lots of woodies for sale, some real rare ones. Lots of 55-56-57 Chevy wagons too.

I predict that the big Ford 'World Cruiser' will 'tank' at the auction. Auction suggests it should bring $450,000 - $650,000. No way it's gonna bring anywhere close to that. Also wouldn't be surprised if this one has a hefty reserve on it, either.

That thing might go for over $100,000. It really is a nice tow vehicle. There are show horse owners near Ocala that might want it.

#1 - did not meet reserve, top bid was $12,000 - get your wallet out boys and girls!

Just saw a 1969 Buick Sport Wagon, vista roof, very original in nice unrestored state - went for $9500 (I think buyer/seller fee is 10%, so $10,450 out the door).

    #2 - sold for $26,500

I'm just going to guess on this one:

    1. '93 Caprice custom
    $0 Not Sold

FWIW, the F-750 World Cruiser may be seriously ugly, but its a pretty bad a$$ machine. I'd travel in it.

#7 -Bonus - No sale, high bid $50,000! They were estimating $450,000 to $650,000???? The fact sheet says the wiring harness alone cost $20,000. Wonder what the owners are thinking tonight?
