Brian A from Houston we know as a fact that Texas members are capable of writing way more than this. Being a dork is no excuse. There are also other Texas dorks among us!:rofl2:
Now is your time to dazzle us with a great introduction telling us about yourself and your wagon plans for the future. Is there an Olds wagon in your future? :camera:Pictures always help.

    No. Do _you_ ?

My (unsuccessful) pursuit of an entirely similar wagon locally led me to this forum. I would very much like to have one - I'd especially get a kick out of towing my Pace Car to the track with it. Too bad the Pace Car doesn't run at the moment...

I have never seen an actual picture of one of the (4, apparently) 1977 Indy Pace Car Medical Director wagons (not including that one photo of them at the back of the pack as seen from the grandstands). I trolled Google images pretty good looking for one. If anyone has a photo of one I'd love to see it. I'd also like to know what happened to these wagons - there doesn't seem to be anything on the interwebs about them.

Still looking for a wagon of my own , too - so please send the next Silver '77 Custom Cruiser w/ Firethorn Interior For Sale my way!

Thank You for the warm welcome.

No, I don't have one, nor have I ever seen one.
But I know there were (usually) a small number of pick-ups and wagons trimmed out with the Pace Car appearance packages. I think a D88 Pace Car wagon would be a Holy Grail car!

Welcome to the madness Brian! Maybe I'm hallucinating, but seems I saw a photo of a large number of Delta 88 pace cars including a small amount of wagons(maybe 4?) somewhere in the last couple years? I've googled around a little bit and haven't been able to turn it up. Maybe another forum member will chime in here that remembers it, cause I bet it came from this site? :Welcome:

i too have thoroughly scoured the intertubes looking for this photo, which i previously recall seeing on the same intertubes

it was taken from the grandstand, looking to the left, at the oncoming pack of replicas in the front and wagons in the back

Just for clarification, I'm posting this image of a Pace Car parade from the '75 Indy 500. No wagons in this image though.... and these are Buicks, anyway.
