My dad bought the basic F-85 4-door with the Chevy 6-banger. It was a reliable car, though.
I should still punish my dad by buying the car he should have (pictured). All it needs is the 400 with THD from the 4-4-2.
Taking the photo at an angle where it's impossible to see if it has the Jetaway or THM seems diliberate  :

This is my favorite VC model year and a great color. Well equipped car. In the 4th picture, although Otis Campbell was undoubtedly the photographer again judging by how out of focus it is, I think I see "S" included in the shift quadrant indicator on the dash. Doesn't that indicate this would have been a 3 sp auto trans?

I must be looking at it from a different angle. I only see a D. I certainly hope there's an S in there, though

In the fuzzy picture of the dash from left of steering wheel we can see the trans quadrant indicator. It looks like the "P" is out of sight but I'm pretty sure I can make out "R N D S L." :coffee:

If he would have had his shifter in the right place, we could then see it better

I bought my 67 Vista out of the Sacramento area. That one looks very nice. Too bad there are no pics of the cargo area.
