It is a nice wagon, low miles. Has been for sale loooong time. 14.000 euro (about $18000) is steep, however, the car is like new.

Wasn't there a new member from Europe somewhere looking for a clam shell?

I love this wagon and yes it is very pricey but its biggest handicap is its location. There would not be much change left from 25K with the sale price and after it was shipped back to the States. For me closer to 30K to Australia, way too much! I can buy a Mustang already landed here for that sort of money.

But the biggest problem is not the price or the logistics, it is that everytime I try to view this website, my trend micro red flags it, and it has happened for me before as well.

So, is this a scam site and does this car even exist? Can it be found on any other site? Can anyone here confirm its existance and where abouts with any confidence? I would love to see more pics if I could find it elsewhere.

Its a beauty! I would love to find a '73 in the rarely seen bronze exterior color.

This wagon reminds me of one that was for sale in L.A. a few years ago, same condition, priced at $2500. Needless to say, it sold fast!

Fantastic, just what I was looking for. I might send an email to see what responce I get back. Need to do some number crunching but the price maybe still way off beam though. This car would be advertised for perhaps as much as $12,000 - $14,000 usd in the States from what I have seen so far though.

I hope someone over there speaks English as my Dutch is rather poor even after drinking!

    oh baby baby

In the mid-80's, when my car was a 67 Beetle, one of my co-workers had one of these. His parents had bought it brand new and he got to drive it, because there was a few things wrong with it. Chief among them, the two halves of the clamshell needed to be pushed open and pulled shut, by hand---while turning the key in the switch to get those things to happen. It took to people to do the back end on that car. The A/C no longer worked either. Everything else about the car was in good condition. It looked just like this one. Haven't seen that co-worker or his car in well over twenty years now.

    Help!

:confused:Ok after spending the last 15 minutes looking how to send an email off of this site, I am still none the wiser. I have pushed the Ga naar de website button but again my trend is blocking this page. Can anyone on this forum read dutch or have a clue how to get a message to the advertiser? I am still a bit sus about this ad.

Certainly is the same car, and this one is taken at the same location as the other one
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxmy9wffRvk
and was published only 8 days later by the same you tube user. Not bad that two very beautiful example of clamshells are or were availiable for sale from the same user at some point. Something aint right!

I didn't check, but maybe the Youtube video page gives you some way to contact the owner.

This guy speaks english well. Inever have problems looking at his site. Maybe work from a different computer. In order to send a message, you have to be a member of the site where the car is for sale. What I can do for you,is to send him a message, saying he has to contact you. You also can give him a call. He does speak english.

Maybe he will go down a bit in price, but I think he still wants 12.000 euro, and then the car has to be shipped to the USA. There is a new tax law for old cars, now only cars 40 years or older are tax exampt, and it was 25 years. So there is more intrest since it is tax exampt. Unless you are serious for paying high $$ it is not worth the hassle.

Let me know your e mail and contact information.

Mate, great to hear from you, you are just the person I was hoping to find on this forum.

Yeh I have tried on another computer but they both run Trend Micro which just keep blocking usacarclassics for some reason.

Shipping is not a problem either as I will need to ship to Australia regardless and the cost should be relative to bringing one back from the US for me as well.

Do you know this car personally or have you seen it for yourself? Thanks for helping me contact the seller, if I come over to buy this thing perhaps we can go for a clamshell cruise before I ship it back!

    PM sent, cheers Mike.

I was the seller of this wagon. I purchased it in Georgia. It is an awesome wagon. And the gentleman who owns it now buys quality cars and transports them to Europe and sells them. He is very professional and a good guy.
