Hey people, I've finally caught fire on the Wagonaire project. I've just about got all the window run replaced, and serviced and lubed all the window regulators at the same time. I finally noticed the tailgate window channel is totally rotted. To the point where it is just the (rusty) corrugated metal, with no felt covering at all. I thought it might be the same material some other makes used. (thinking of the old Chevrolets) It's about 3/4 inch wide, the glass is 1/4 inch flat glass with a chrome lip around the glass making it about 1/2 inch wide. I need about 8 feet. Anybody know of a source? Thanks! Kelly
got it! Thanks Rev, will file that address away for future reference. I found my Tailgate weatherstrip. A Studebaker nut has reproduced the entire kit! I planted myself in the garage and got all the window run and cat whiskers replaced and regulators tuned up and greased last week. Even without ANY weatherstripping on the doors, it is quieter and less rattly than any time since I bought it fifteen years ago! I can see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Hope it's not a train. Kelly
tailgate window channel received! Got all the tailgate channel and clips. Looks great. Now if life will just quit getting in the way of my car projects, maybe I can get it installed!
