Hi everyone. I'm a new to the wagon scene, reformed minivan driver. I got tired of driving the family (wife and 6 children) around in a normal, everyday minivan so I decided this year to get a station wagon. We found a nice 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park LS with around 80,000 miles on it. It's in great shape for this area. I am in the process of getting her squared away for every-day driving. Here are a few pictures:
to the forum. Great looking station wagon. Admitting you were a mini-van owner is the first step. Enjoy your new toy. Any questions just ask. Always someone here to help.
Love that CP, DewayneP. Beautiful. I was looking at those myself last year until i found my Safari. Welcome to the SWF! Marshall
Welcome to the wagon family. It is neat that you are introducing your young family to a real station wagon. If they are like many of us here on the forums the memories of riding in station wagons as kids is what motivated us to own wagons when we got our turn behind the steering wheel.
Thanks for pictures first thing! It's truly beautiful. I have a 2000 Nissan XTerra SE that just doesn't do it for me, so I bought my wagon this past January. I hope you have many happy years with yours!
Welcome dewaynep! LOVE the black CP! Black with maroon interior - BEAUTIFUL! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima David
Wow, thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I' ve actually wanted a wagon for a long time now but couldn't find one that was in good shape. I used to own a 1972 Chevy Suburban that my wife drove as a daily driver. She says "as long as it starts when I turn the key and drives safely, I'll drive whatever will fit the kids", so, I went and got a wagon. I'm kinda thinking I should get a wagon from each decade now. Maybe a 1978, 1968 and a 1958 Colony Park. That would be cool. Funny thing is, I'm not a Ford guy. My Dad worked at the Tonawanda engine plant for 38 years so I've always been a GM man. Oh well, guess I'll have to get some GM wagons too!!
Hello and welcome aboard, looks like your fitting in nicely. Excellent wagon. Hope to see you around the forums.
