That Bonny of KK's is one of the nicest B body cherries around. And it was presented for sale as badly as I have ever seen. Bar none. The miles are right on that car and it still carries a ton of original equipment right from the factory. I couldn't believe what I was seeing as I inspected it...one incredible surprise after the other.
KK waited and searched a long time to find the right wagon but everything else had to be right for him to be able to score it if he found it. If the seller had been a true car guy or even had any sense of marketing or salesmanship it's likely that it would have been gone before KK could get to it or, probably, priced out of reach. This is one of the nicest early 80's B body wagons on the road today and certainly THE nicest '81 Bonney that we are likely to ever see.
If this Cappy for sale in this thread draws $10K.....then KK's Bonney draws $20K.

Nope....he won't. :disagree: Read my post #31 above.

I know you were just kidding, Cat, because I know you have been around the block and know your stuff. I wish you could have been there to inspect that Bonney....you would have had a heart attack!:yup: What a sleeper. The guy had absolutely no concept on how to sell a car!:biglaugh:

What do you want to bet the owner is kicking himself now that he didn't let it go in the first auction?! :banghead3:

Dumb dealer - doesn't know the market. That's 2 auctions he's wasted time and money on. My guess is he'll drop the reserve down to $8,000 or so on the third go round.

... And then it won't meet the $8000 the third time around.

Bet that's right. The high bid dropped by nearly $2000 from the first to the second auction.
