Absolutely amazing technology for 1925! Pretty impressive even for today.

I'm not sure what this is. I initially thought someone perfected the technology used to propell vehicles durin Dubya Dubya Two where wood would get heated up and the resulting gas would get burned up in the engine. Now, I see that he uses water. It'll take a couple more views to get the picture, maybe:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSym7x_bEI0

Here's a vid in English, starting in the middle of a how-to project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=Lucg1TEeXic&NR=1

Here's one of the originals stored in a museum. You getless horsepower than if you burned gasoline. However, it's a free ride: https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=Y4Vt8WM6VRk

Here's an older kiddie show explaining the basics. You can use the waste product for firing up the barbecue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD2SLzkMpFI

For years I have pushed the idea of steam cars, steam engines and people still laugh at me. My more recent idea has been thoughts of a steam/hydrogen concept. Anyway, I don't have enough time or enough room here to explain...but...think water for cheap, powerful, long lasting automobiles. The KISS theory is always the best and the one most avoided. Why? Because you can't make enough money out of the transportation business if it's too simple and inexpensive. Take the battery concepts of today. Stupid in my opinion but it has the built in obsolescence factor that business thrives on. The technology that will likely win the day and get shoved down our throats will be the one that has the best sales angle on the car that will still contain parts that will wear out and become obsolete and the fuel will be massively owned and manufactured by a very rich politician!
I didn't sleep last night so I'm typing in a daze here...wish I was awake enough to explain more. Maybe later, but, there are things to ponder here.

But without TV or internet not many people knew it. I agree. That car is amazing. I'm sure by now these could be made simpler and many of us could be driving one. Altho our politicians would have had to buy all the water wells and charged $4 a gallon for H2O!

seem to remember a car company in Australia that modified cars to run on steam. not a bad idea, until a drought year.

I really like that. It's too bad they didn't produce steam cars for public sale after the 1920s. Go look up SE101 and SE124 sometime. They were experiements by GM for steam powered cars. They made a 50hp Chevelle sedan and a 160hp Grand Prix coupe. They did NOT get good gas mileage (EPA has an emissions/economy report on file). The Chevelle used a gallon of kerosene every 6 to 8 miles. The Grand Prix used several gallons per mile.
