Its been a while since any links have been posted for Vintage Street Scene VIDEOS.

Heres Riverside Drive in Toluca Lake (Burbank), California in 1959. The Bob's Big Boy still has a great Friday evening cruise in that I go to when ever I'm in L.A.

Heres another one from a slightly different camera angle

If it wasn't for the Bob's Big Boy, I wouldn't recognize the area. Theres alot of big office buildings in that area now.
Seems kind of strange to see a 50+ year old video driving by the Bob's Big Boy and being able to look through the windows into the dining area where I ate the last time I was in L.A. just a few years ago.

    Heres Hollywood Blvd in 1957

The driver of the blue 56 T-bird at the end was kind of obnoxious.

And this one has been posted before, but it doesn't hurt to put it together with the above film clips.

An old restaurant that was here in town... no longer exists...

Not wagons, but very interesting that all cars in this pic were 1957 models from Ford, Chevy and Plymouth. :)

Another local pic taken in the mid 60s. This features a 1962 Ford Country Sedan wagon...

All of these buildings are still standing. The brick building in the back is a middle school for students located within the city limits and still in operation today. The building where the car is setting is now a wrecker/storage lot. Of course the old "two-light" traffic light is gone and been replaced with the big late models. lol.

Another local pic from the early-mid 60s. The only car I can make out in the pic is you guessed it, a wagon! 1962 Chevy wagon... :)

I drive on this road quite often, WOW has it changed!

At the southeast corner of Morgan and Holland was Piedmont Furniture. Several furniture stores were located near Holland, Foster, and East Chapel Hill St.

The Franklin Court apartments persevered through the latter 1950s and early 1960s.

Kind of fun seeing the real McCoys in their day, KK. Instead of a guy today in Arizona or Wisconsin trying to sell a wagon with a board strapped on top! :biglaugh:

Back in they heyday of surfing, the 60's, you would see a lot of different types of 'surf wagons' down at the beach. Heck, a lot of them were just mom's Chevy, Buick or Ford sedan with surf racks temporarily clamped to the drip rails. For those that were more self-sufficient, you saw a lot of late 50's Ford and Chevy wagons, VW Buses (which weren't 'collectible value' back then), and a few panel vans - retired plumbing trucks, etc.
