Looks like a great car, in beautiful condition for the age and originality. Certainly worth way more than the current top bid, that's for sure.

Only up to $4800 with two and a half days left on the auction. Would have thought there would have been more interest. This is really, really nice looking Vista Cruiser with just about all options, :yup:

    Nice ride.:)

The numerals on the odometer aren't lined up perfect horizontally which means it could have possibly been tampered with, most mechanical odometers have that anti-tamper feature built into them.
It does look a little suspect, but the condition of the car is what counts, not mileage.

The car really needs some lower fender shim work/adjustments, they're both way high on the bottoms.
They're usually lined up way better than that new, makes you wonder.

I have seen many cars of that era that the numbers didn't line up exactly on the odometer, and I know that they haven't been tampered with, since I had owned the cars from almost new. This always bothered me, so when I saw that it was getting ready to turn over to the next thousandth, I would bang on the dash pad to give it some help. Worked most of the time.
Carpet and seat wear are a better way to tell if the mileage of the car has been tampered with, and how well it was taken care of.

Is it low mileage due to its nondriveability.

This VC is now bid to $6500 with reserve met. Looks like a really terrific wagon for that price. We'll see where it ends up when the auction concludes tomorrow.
