400 V8 and alleged 40k original miles. I was really liking this LTD II until I noticed the front bumper has been painted body color. http://zanesville.craigslist.org/cto/3658783393.html
From what we can see, this looks like a beauty. The front bumper should be a cinch to change. All the 77-79 Ford and Mercury mid-sized used the same bumper and they made well about 2 million of them! Simple 4 bolt change.
De-pens on what your looking at....and was it last call, for alK-a- haul great stearing g-wheel.......wish we could see the rest....Air cleaners looks great on the pas seat.... plates on the foor,,,,,, Now I really remember this car.........
This is another oddly optioned 1970s car. It has the Squire package, cornering lights and the factory gauge cluster option, but a manual control driverside rearview mirror. You really could option one just the way you wanted it back in the day.
I love the way these drive! I got to deliver a '77 LTD II wagon to the local sheriff's department in 1978, and drove it nearly 60 miles in a blinding snowstorm! I was pretty impressed with how it handled the ice and snow, and how quiet the car was. I would definitely consider one in my price range. Nice car.
Come out west and take our 77 ltd II country squire wagon. I think it dropped a timing chain when my brother was in high school and its been parked since. Dad is the second owner. he got it in 81?
didnt remember mentioning price but taking offers-especially for wagon guys! i will be going out to dads here in teh next week or so and will take best pics I can. title status is clear and registration status is on non-op which is a good thing. here in CA.... means no back fees or leins or anything.. pay the state and drive.
