Okay, its not station wagon related, but this is a cool music video of a classic Motown song. It was filmed entirely on the assembly line for the new 1965 Ford Mustangs. I'm a big Motown fan - my mom was 18 when I was born so I got to listen to a lot of cool music as a kid. Thanks for sharing! Also cool watching them assemble the Mustangs.
One thing I picked out of the video as interesting was that there was already emblems installed on the fenders before they were bolted on to the body structure. Never thought of the assembly process that way, but it makes sense, when they use fasteners.
Pretty cool. Bob Seger's "Making Thunderbirds" video had Ford factory assembly line scenes but they just cut to them a few times. I was watching an old Alfred Hitchcock interview and he said he always wanted to make a movie that starts with the camera following a car from the beginning of assembly all the way down the line and when it's reaches the end a worker opens the door to to drive it off and finds a murdelized dead body.
And as Alfred did in his movies, you would have to spy with your little eye, because he allways made sneaky apearance in his movies. The Birds was the first movie I cout him in walk with his dogs
