hi just joined up , bought my first wagon a 63 chevy bel air , i live in the uk but the car will stay in california to use instead of a rental when i go for a vacation. . i will post some pics when i sort out how to . cheers steve
My parents are from the UK. aboard...must be nice having a wagon waiting for you on another continent. Is this something your planning for other continents or just this one? Please don't Rev hear about this, so far he's just filling up is neighbourhood, if he finds up you can start leaving them around in other countries there won't be any left for the rest of us to buy. Glad you found your way here, congratulations
Hi Yes the only plan is one in the USA I've been coming there for vacation for nearly 20 years and usually scource a Vw bus . As soon as I can get some pictures when the deal is finalised ill try post some up . I'm only able to afford a patina end of the scale wagon not hight end resto but all good with me It's a bit extravagant I know having a car on the other side of the world but rather that than a rental each visit Plan is ship it to San Fran and spend some time coming down the coastal 1 route and stop where I like the look of things , which is pretty much everywhere I seem to go in the US . Thanks again for the great welcome Cheers Steve
Welcome aboard! I'd like to pull off that car in a foreign country thing -a Ferrari in Italy, a Porsche in Germany.....
geez...I wish I could find the time to travel...never mind having a cool car waiting for me when I got there livin the life Steve to the joint
Hi I'm quite lucky with my work shift pattern , very now and then I get a full 6 days off so allows holidays with no holidays taken if you see what I mean My first dealings with a wagon was when I lived in South Africa my dad had a. 68 rambler rouge I think it was and we travelled as kids in the back with a mattress between Johannesburg and Cape Town. 1000 miles where we were moving too .. Always wanted one of my own since really ... Cheers Steve
