Looking for a good home for a one (family) owner 1967 Pontiac Catalina station wagon. This is a true barn find - kept in a garage in Northern Michigan since 1984. Hasn't run in years, but is waiting for a station wagon enthusiast to give it new life. Just hoping to find someone willing to keep this car going. Anyone interested?
Welcome, Probst! I'd be very interested, if it was a Bonneville, and if it ran decent. Otherwise, no. Love the look of the '67's
Welcome! We need pics of the wagon! Around here, it just doesn't exist unless we see it! The 67 is a great year. Love those big Ponchos, too. How much are you asking for it, by the way. That makes a difference too.
More on the 67 Pontiac Wow- Thanks for all the warm welcomes everyone. Let me provide as much info as I can on the 67 Pontiac Catalina station wagon. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of it right now. It is taking up half of the garage in our summer cottage and currently has things stored all over the top of it (there is lots of surface area there to cover). It has not been driven since 1984 when my grandfather died. To prove a point about 12 years ago when mom and I were after my dad to get rid of it, he pushed it out of the garage, started it up (with lots of starter fluid), and, with a big smile on his face, pushed it back into the garage where it has sat ever since. My grandpa purchased it new in 1967 and used it for years to snowbird to Florida and to pull his fishing boat around Northern Michigan. I went with him on lots of those fishing trips as a kid. It has somewhere between 250-300,000 miles on it, but is all original and has no body damage that I have noticed. It has been repainted twice and is currently a dark brown. Dad has just been hanging onto it for sentimental value, but realizes (finally) that it is in the way. Not looking to make any real money on it (and those conversations would have to take place with him). He is a car collector himself though, and mostly wants to make sure it goes to someone who is interested in restoring it (or at least keeping it out of the scrap heap). I only have his permission to try to see if such a person exists. He has the title to the car and would be the person I would put anyone who is serious about the car in contact with. Hope this helps answer some of your questions.
Well, that's a good start. How about some information on the wagon itself.... Engine size? Power equipment - PW, PL, Tilt, Cruise? 2 seat or 3 seat? Type of wheels? Equipped with A/C?
