Hi all. I am currently driving a 1957 Chevy Bel Air 4dr. Sedan. However, my wife's and my dream would be owning a 1958 Chevy Nomad. Unfortunately those are not that widely spread, especially not in Germany, where we live and even not in Europe. And even worse: They are also not that frequent to be found in the US. Greetz, Ranger
from Florida. At least you have a fun car until the right wagon shows up. Even here those are rare. Good luck.
welcome from south new york uh i mean south florida. was the 58 nomad a 2 door model like the earlier ones or a top of the line like the 59 4 door
Welcome to the site. My first car was a '58 Nomad. I bought it in 1968 and it had a 348 with a 3-Speed Manual Trans. 59 wagon man, the '58 Nomad was a 4-Door. The only 2-Door Nomads were the '55, '56 and '57. Although they did make a 2-Dr Wagon in '58, but it was a Yeoman, which was the bottom of the line. It's true, they are hard to find today, even here in the US, but every once in a while one will show up for sale. Keep us posted if you find one. Bill
Welcome to the nut house. You don't really HAVE to be crazy to be here, but it helps! Sounds like you have a great car to drive now, and a really super dream car. Good luck on the hunt. They are out there, just not very common at all. make sure you keep us up to date, and when you do find your dream, make sure you post LOTS of pics!
Welcome, Ranger! That's quite a quest you have there. Not going to be easy to locate a '58 Nomad. (If you decide you can make due with a '58 Pontiac Safari instead, I've got a lead for you....) For those who are curious, here's a couple of pics of 58 Nomads.... And just for giggles, I found a pic of a custom 2-door '58 Nomad:
To show what we currently have... This is our 1957 4dr sedan. Restored by us in 2006 and 2007 we already own this car for almost 12 years now. Nevertheless, we keep looking for a 1958 nomad but we have to be patient. Greetz, Ranger and familiy
