Hi guys and gals new member here from north east ohio. I just bought me a 1959 american cross country wagon. Glad to be part of the forum.
from NW Florida. Have fun here and add photos and information about your toy----or toys. It's an addiction. One is only the beginning.
Howdy fellow northeast Ohioan. My mom had a '58 Rambler wagon but I think it was the next model down from the cross-country, copper brown with a white roof and side spear deals. My dad traded it in on a new '65 Plymouth Fury III wagon, the car was like new and the dealer immediately put it up on the elevated display turntable at the front of the used car lot.
Welcome! Does your Rambler have the tailgate that opens flat, or one that opens sideways like a door? Unless my memory is failing me, I believe it could be ordered either way.
Retropia: 2 sear ramblers got the fold down tailgate, 3 seaters got the swing open tailgate, at least I think that was how it was determined which car got which gate.
