I have a 95 roadmaster that is leaking water into the pax floor. I thought it was the drain vent so I cleaned that out. But water still runs down the firewall from the top near the evaporator when the ac is running. Is there a seal around the evaporater attaching it to the firewall? I guess what I am asking is where else can the water come from other than a clogged drain? Thanks for your consideration
Are you witnessing the water leak down the fire wall or just seeing the aftermath? Do you have an elbow of some sort on the condensate drain? Mike
evaporater Mike, Yes I do see the water runnung down the firewall. I have pulled the carpet back i have 2 roadmasters and neither have the elbow. The other car drains fine. Is there a second drain on the evaporator somewhere? Thanks
There's no 2nd drain that I'm aware of. Elbows didn't come on the cars, but the condensate water draining out of the straight drain pipe would some times wick back into the passenger cabin. It would come through just below the drain, the elbow keeps the condensate from wicking back in. Make curtain that the drain isn't clogged again. Another thought would be a bad seal around the wind shield, has it been raining where you live? Mike
