Thanks for all the positive comments. I must tell you, there have been many heartfelt conversations with the "better half". Unfortunately, her health has deteriorated in the last couple of years (hence lack of wagon use), and we don't have the luxury of time to take on Mr. Blue as a full-on resto project. The best I can do for all concerned find another wagon that is "done" so we can begin enjoying the time we have left and start using our nice vintage 1958 Shasta travel trailer for some much needed weekend trips.
I must admit I was pretty despondent the first couple of months dealing with the realization that Blue was now too big of a project for us to deal with, but can see clearly now what is the best way. So, my friends, Mr. Blue really has to go ... I am a firm believer that things always work out for the best. Had I known then what I know now, rather than parking him under that nice shady tree, I would have sold him before this happened. He would’ve had a much better chance of finding a good home. Now let’s see if we can find the right one! Here’s the his link on Craig’s list:

Hope things work our for you and your lady Paul. You have to do what is best for you guys. We all have our ideas but you are the one living your life. Best of luck, keep us updated on how things go. Just because you are between wagons doesn't mean you can't stay on the forum.

Hey, thanks for the heads-up on the site posting idea, Fannie! I'm on it! Since her renal failure, my sweetie is stabalized and doing much better, just need to find her a new kidney. Any donors out there? ( B-positive blood type). Oh, yeah, don't worry, I'm a wagoneer forever...)

I'm sorry you have to sell Mr. Blue, but I am sure he will find a good home. Good luck with everything you are going through. Looking at the pictures you have on the ad, that roof doesn't look very bad at all! That looks like routine rust repair for around here. My 78 Buick did exactly the same. I took it to a community college body shop school, and they fixed it for $50 per side. Never came back. A decent coat of paint, and nobody could tell it had been done.

One neat thing about reading all of these posts. I leaned something new. 'Nora' has a set of long tube headers, the first I've ever put on a car. NOW I know what she is so hot inside. Guess I will have to make Nora's front gills functional. Since they are there already it should be pretty simple.
