    :Welcome: Kelly.

What part of NM? I moved up to Oregon from Albuquerque 15 years ago, but I grew up in Alamogordo. I like visiting NM, but my wife (from Santa Fe/Pojoaque area) doesn't want to move back. We're pretty happy here. Not as much dust...more moss/mold instead. :)

Oops. I never saw the last page of comments.
Living in Roswell. Took the wagon to Clovis for a meeting of the High Plains SDC chapter last weekend. Love the highway gears on this guy. 75 mph tachs about 2400.
The valve covers are yellow from the factory. The color I painted them is actually a bit toned down. It is actually Sun Yellow from walmart. Buck a can. The engine is fairly stock. It does have an Avanti aluminum timing gear, 500 cfm Edelbrock, a custom electronic distributor (original dizzy, converted with Mopar innards,GM HEI module, Flame Thrower coil.), and some really well done Dual exhausts. Boise muffler gave me some great sounding easy breathing mufflers that are still pretty quiet, and threaded the pipes through the frame flawlessly. These sliding roof guys have a giant x-member underneath, so the mufflers have to fit in the x, and the pipes go through it in four places.
This car can dust off some rice rockets from a stoplight. With the gearing it has you can accelerate to about 3500- 4000 in low, and go into low O/D! The problem is getting it stopped before the next light.

Pics of his new paint are in the photo gallery! Still needs some trim and accent paint, but I'm getting there.
    Next is the interior...

    Butch's brakes

Butch has drum brakes. Front discs became available in '63. I did the brakes once, but it was probably ten years ago. This time, I think I need to pull the rear axles and pack the bearings also. Nasty job.
