That about says it all! :bouncy:
I wonder how deep I should dig the hole for my 55 Chevy wagon? And if I put it in a plastic bag will it last?
Keep in mind, a Dodge is still basically an American vehicle and still looks like a truck!
See the USA in your Dodge today!

The new black tailgate decals were in the mailbox when I got home from work last night.

And yes, I KNOW it's not an R/T, but it IS a 5.9 and when I saw those decals on line I thought they looked really sharp.

I really REALLY like the black decal better than green. Matches the new pin stripes well too!

And just to show I've totally lost my mind, I made Misty park our Grand Prix on the rocks under the tree last night and put the Ram in the garage next to the GTO. .........I don't want the Ram to get dirty now that I did all this work...... :banghead3:

Ever since I was a 19 year old kid with Dodge Dynasty, my favorite Dodge joke is an acronym for Dodge...

    Old
    Dad's
    Geriatric

Mike I am a little concerned about the foundness you are forming with this truck. I mean you got it running like a top. You got it painted and now...now your on line buying cute stickers. I know it'll hold a sheet of plywood and it's as big as a Roadmaster but I'm here to tell it's not. I think your getting rammed into the dark side. This is just a crush, right?

My goal is still to make this truck as nice as possible, so when a clean low-mile Roady or OCC wagon shows up I can either trade the Ram or sell it really quickly.

And yes, I'll admit it, I've gotten a bit carried away fixing this sucker up.

I dropped the truck back off at the body shop yesterday morning. They were supposed to wet-sand and buff the hood where there was some trash in the new paint. Well it turns out they could not get the trash out so they are now re-painting the hood. Wish I'd waited on putting on the new pin stripes and grill... Supposed to be done this evening.

In other news, the new OEM-style bumper fog lights came in last night. Looking forward to removing the cracked and melted horrible looking ones on there now. Pulled one of the new ones out of it's box last night and they look great!

Also I'd mentioned that I was still hearing a hiss from the intake at certain speeds. This after replacing the IAC module three times, with two different brands. Well I found out there is supposed to be a round gasket between the air cleaner box and the throttle body. The one on the truck is totally missing. The box is held on with a clamp, and I thought that was all there was to it. There was no gasket there when I took it off the first time myself.

Found the Fel-Pro gasket at O'Reilly for $1.99. If I can that annoying hiss for $2 I'm going to jump up and down. :yippee: Ha!

I do the same thing with vehicles. I get carried away trying to make them better. My Shill-O-Ette minivan has all new lights up front (except the fogs) and a new passenger side mirror AND YOU KNOW I'm gonna spend another $30 replacing the driver side as soon as possible just so they match. The speakers in it and the Durango and my Torino all suck and are worn out and I'm buying up pairs left and right on Amazon. Got a pair of 6x9's (Boss SE692) for the Torino for $22. Got 6.5's for the Durango, $34 shipped for all four door speakers (Boss slim mount CH6500). And once I figure out the sizes for the minivan I'm replacing all of those too.

I may end up having $120 in speakers between the three vehicles, but at least my Creedence will work.

Since I sold my Jimmy :( I have driving hubby's Coloardo. The speakers are awful I don't know what he did to them but they crackle and viberate. So on CCR for me, the radio is usually off because of the noises. I'm not fixing them though, I spenting my $$$ on my wagon. :D

And now the truth comes out. Mike is really an Al Bundy sort of guy. I'll bet at one time he wanted to be a shoe salesman! :rofl2:
And more truth, Al's Dodge was really a Plymouth!:slap:

Very nice job, Mike. Like the '5.9 R/T'.....

There's a guy around the corner from me who has a screamin' red SRT-10 Ram - fairly new (regular cab, though). I was looking at that truck and noticed a lot of the body mods (grill, hood with scoop, side cladding, etc...) could be bolted right on any plain ole Dodge truck of the same vintage......

Pretty much looks just like this:
