Glad I found this site. I have been a car guy as long as I can remember. I have a 50 Chevy pickup hotrod under construction and I recently purchased a 52 Chevy Tin Woody. I am in the process of installing a Fatman MII stage III kit, Walton trans and brake mount and Chassis Engineering rear springs in the woody. Next the floor will be replaced and then a 454 installed. If anybody on the forum has a BB in their 49-52 wagon I would like to hear from them? Looking forward to learning more from all of you experts and hopefully I can contribute something in exchange.
jkane to the forrum. I love those 50's Chevy woody wagons. Sounds like a great project. However some members will not believe you without pictures.
Glad you found us JK - I've had my '57 Pontiac wagon for almost as long as you, I'm now at the 32 year mark. Its as much a part of the family as I am and if something had to go I'm not sure whether my wife would keep the Safari or me. I think it would be tough decision for her......... Look forward to seeing pics when you get around to it. Yeah, we love to see pictures of members wagons. Car porn - so to speak
Saf, I don't think it would take your wife as long to decide as you think! I'm not sure whether my wife would keep the Safari or me. I think it would be tough decision for her......... I've only had our wagon a short 25 years or so. Not counting the time I traded it for a Ford! I plead temporary insanity!
to the wagon train, j. I love those Chevy tin woodies and I love wagon sleepers....so....I already love your car! Can't wait to see some pix! How To Post Pictures in a Thread
tin woody Thanks guys. I travel a lot for my company so when I get some time I will post a few photos. It is not much to look at-all original with patina, rust and dents. Floors are gone, so that is one of the projects. This is the same model and color, that I learned to drive on when I was around 12 on my Uncle's farm, in Virginia. When I saw it I had to have it!
Well sometimes that's the best way to see them a before and an after. There is a WIDE range of wagons and conditions on this forum, as you will find out, and they are all welcome. Now stop making excusses and get those pics posted.
