That's what I did to my wagon today. Get back on topic. :rofl2:
Actually I didn't do it today!:29:I found out LT-1 heads don't fit an old 305 without much modification so I gave Bruno his heads back.

That's funny I have a shop owner who says Napa stands for "No Auto Parts Available". I always tell him "if that's true what is all this crap I've been putting away all morning?"

Spent about 3 hours angle grinding a bolt off of the hitch on Threepete(My crappy rusted Eagle wagon). Those old rusty bolts are stubborn!! Needless to say I spent a lot of time laying on my back today.

Before anyone asks, Amsterband used to be the name of one of my favorite bands...so us groupies were called Amsterfans! :) If anyone wants to check them out they are now called Ha Ha Tonka and they make great music.

I also took the roof rack off Threepete and put it on top of TQ to see what it would look like. Surprised me. I thought I was gonna hate it, but I kind of like it. The back left part of the wind deflector is bent a little bit though.

Also took TQ on a nice little scenic drive. Ended up by some lake outside of town that I had no idea was even there! It was a private estate, but they were supposed to be having some estate sale...I couldn't figure out where it was and I wasn't really all that interested anyway so I just left right after I showed up.

And there is this tank outside of town at the VFW, you can sort of see some guys in white shirts up in the background. They were doing some sort of gun salute. 3 or 4 guys shot like 3 or 4 times...not sure what they were doing.

Thanks. I was surprised. I didn't think I was gonna like the roof rack, but I kind do. Installing it would be a pain...would also require drilling holes in the roof...and I'm not to sure about that...there is no going back after drilling holes!!

Plus the chrome on the roof rack isn't like terrible or anything, but it's not quite as good as the rest of the chrome on TQ.

That's a shame that the chrome is iffy. That rack belongs on that car for sure. Finishes it off perfectly. Not fond of the spoiler though. At all.:disagree:

Any chrome polishing tips? I've already bought some polish and have done the ventshades and brush guard by hand, but I'm guessing some sort of drill power buffer or something might help. And I've just been using a rag to wipe the polish on and then wipe it off.

Cyber-Wizard has a thread going (I just looked for it and can't find it right now) where he bought some new wheels and he came up with a method of removing the little black bumpy specs from the chrome and shined the wheels up great. I thought it was a great thing to find since I have never been able to get rid of those pits. I will try to find it when I'm not so tired. I know him and I'll email him to find out which thread it is.

Bottle of Coca Cola and a pack of very fine stainless steel whool with elbow grease:yup:. Even SS whool in the grocery store asle with the dish detergant scub pads, etc does a wonder. Done it many times with great results. Depending on the pitting, I don't like regular steel whool as the instant product looks great but you end up with tiny steel flakes you can't see being left behind with later leave little rust blemishes.

I heard on the radio that they were shooting at someone illegally parked near a tank someplace. You may want to check for bullet holes on the left front. :rofl2:
By the way, like the roof rack.
